Source Files

Many consultants only provide executable files to their customers for their standard fees. Files such as source code, schematics, and PCB layout files can be bought for an additional (and usually very high) fee. This essentially holds the customer hostage to the consultant, should the customer ever wish to take over maintenance of the project, or even take their business elsewhere--unless, of course, the customer is willing to pay the fee for the source files.

Clarity Microsolutions provides all source files to its customers as part of its standard rate. It is our philosophy that the quality of our work should be the factor that brings customers back to Clarity Microsolutions, not the prospect of paying extra fees for source files.
